SquadLamp Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026
SquadLamp is an app that helps youth sports coaches plan lineups, track playing time and keep game records. It is published by Anita Jennifer John Isreal ("we", "us").
The short version: everything you put into SquadLamp stays on your device. We don't have accounts or servers, and we never receive your teams, players or games.
What SquadLamp stores, and where
Everything you enter is stored only on the device where you entered it:
- Teams and players: names, nicknames, jersey numbers, birth year and month, preferred positions, and any notes you write about a player (for example foot preference or medical notes).
- Games: opponents, dates, lineups, substitutions, playing time, goals, injuries and other events, plans, and your match and team notes.
- Settings: your app preferences, such as reminders and how long deleted games are kept.
We never see any of it. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else, unless you choose to share it yourself (see "When you share something").
What leaves your device
Purchases. SquadLamp Pro is a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. We don't see your payment details; Apple or Google handles the payment. To know whether you have Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives:
- an anonymous identifier it creates for your copy of the app;
- your purchase and subscription records from the store;
- basic technical details needed to answer the request, such as the app version, device type, operating system and country.
RevenueCat never receives anything you enter in the app: no team, player or game data. Its handling of this information is described in its privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Links you open. Links in the app, such as this policy, the Terms of Use or your subscription settings, open in your browser or the store, under those sites' own policies.
Nothing else leaves your device.
What we don't collect
- No account, email address or sign-in.
- No analytics, usage tracking or advertising, and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
- No crash reports sent to us.
When you share something
SquadLamp can make reports, spreadsheets and backup files of your games. These are created on your device and go only where you send them: a message, an email, a file app or a cloud drive you choose. Once shared, they are handled by the people and services you sent them to. A backup file contains your teams, players and games, so keep it as you would any file with your players' details.
Reminders
Plan reminders are notifications your device schedules for itself. They don't pass through any server.
Children's information
SquadLamp is for coaches and is not directed at children. Coaches may enter information about the players they coach, many of whom are children. That information stays on the coach's device, and we never receive it.
Parents or guardians who want a child's information changed or removed should ask the coach, who controls it on their device. We can't access or delete it ourselves, because we never have it.
Keeping and deleting your information
- You can edit or delete players, games and teams in the app at any time.
- Deleted games stay in the app's Recycle bin for the time set in Settings under "Keep deleted games for" (7 days unless you change it, up to 30), then are removed for good.
- Uninstalling SquadLamp deletes everything it stored on your device.
- Your device's own backups (iCloud or Google) may include SquadLamp's data, depending on your device settings. Those backups are managed by Apple or Google under your account.
- Backup files and reports you shared stay wherever you saved or sent them.
Security
Your information is protected by your device's own security, such as its passcode and encryption. Since we have no servers holding your data, there is no copy of it with us to be lost or breached.
Changes to this policy
If SquadLamp starts handling information differently, we'll update this policy, change its effective date, and say what changed. We'll do this before the change ships if, for example, we add optional cloud sync.
